Blog 1: My autobiography

My name is Constanza Carolina Bravo Jara. I was born in Santiago, in San Borja Arriarán Hospital in 1998. I lived in Peñalolén, but then we moved to Maipú as 13 or 14 years ago, I don’t remember.

 I’m the middle sister and I’m living with my sisters and my mother. My mother was born April 6th, and I was born the same day, so we celebrate our birthday together.
 My older sister is studying nursery and my young sister is in high school. I have a nephew from my older sister, he is 2 years old and he likes too much play with car toys.

 I was very motivated in primary, but in secondary I was too lazy. That changed when I knew that my “NEM” was too bad (for me). So, I started to study as crazy to have a decent “NEM”. I didn’t get that, but my PSU score was decent. My father is a food engineer, and he is too good in his job. He and my mother are divorced, so we (my sisters and me, of course) go to see him on weekends and some days at the week.

 I have a little daughter (I like to call her like this), her name is Kira. She is a German shepherd, and I love her so much. She is always waiting for me when I get home too late, and she loves to go outside with me. Well, I have too many hobbies, but I don’t do too much right now, so I’m going to explain what I do when I have time. I like to play videogames with my boyfriend and my friends too, my favorite game is Portal 2 and I like to play the fans levels. And I play league of legends, but only with my friends and if I have time (right now, I’m just studying, so sad). I like to draw too; actually I was studying “industrial design” before this program. And I like so much listening to music, any type of music.
 I would like to buy a big house, have my little pet there and sleep forever.

Blog 3: My favorite piece of technology

When I was a little girl (10 years old, I think) my parents bought a computer. Since then, I like the computers so much. Maybe I like them so much because I can play on them many videogames, but sadly it depends of the computer or notebook to play different videogames. I say it because I have a notebook since 2015, so now I can’t play all the videogames that I have bought (maybe I need to clean it, too). In that time I didn’t know anything about computers; actually I have known some things about these since last year, maybe? But well, my notebook was a gift, so I don’t complain about it. So yes, I usually use my notebook for playing videogames, but now I use it to study or to watch series. I use my notebook every day when I arrive home, and (for now) it’s just for studying and to listen to music. Why did I choose this programme/career?

Well, I’m studying Food Engineering, and this idea came from my dad, because he is a food engineer, but when I was a child, I liked other things that didn’t have anything in common with this programme. When I was a child, I had the dream to be firefighter with my sister. Later, we bought a dog called Rocky, so in that moment I was dreaming to be a vet. But things changed over the time, and when I was 13 I was immersed in detective series, like CSI or NCIS, and my favorite character in the series was always the forensic, since that moment I have liked so much the chemistry. Well, when I was finishing high school, I really didn’t know what I wanted; actually I didn’t expect that I was going to university, and the PSU score wasn’t the best, so I was surrendering. Blog 8: A subject I enjoy studying this semester

I used to study another program before this one. In 2016 I was studying Industrial Design, so I think that I can’t talk about just one subject that I enjoined in my life as university student, so here we go. In 2016 we used to have one subject called “Digital technical representation I”, that was my favorite one. I used to use a program called “AutoCAD” where we made many structures in 3D, we used it to make some blueprints and many other things that we had to cut in a laser cutter. I deserted in the second semester, but it was worth it. Now, I’m in my third semester of food engineering and now my favorite subject is Calculus II. This is funny because in my second semester I reprobated that subject and now I’m approving, I think.
